Because I chose 275s
265 is very close and gives a little more room, usually, which translates to less chance of rubbing. Personally, I just wanted the maximum width possible and I am running a 10" wheel and not a 9.5" (typical) which a 265 could be borderline stretched on (depending on the tire).
