That's true for the Pioneer 8" compared with the SWS-8 using the same .6 cu.ft enclosure in my case, though.... it seems that the SWS-8 is more stable/robust at the limit (around 30Hz) than the Pioneers, although both are supposed to have more or less the same frequency response.

The Pioneer shallow 10" sub, in the other hand, is much better going to < 30Hz in the same enclosure size (I have that one too).
