Hey guys i have a question. I have a yard with a lawn, its not huge but it will take about 45 mins to mow it. I have a mower which doesnt have a bag, it just shoots out the grass from the side. PA grass grows very fast. My son mows it every week and there are shavings everywhere. At first people told me that the grass shavings/clippings was good for the grass but now i hear that it isnt good. So recently ive had to rake up all the clippings and throw them away...this process takes about an hour!!! I hate doing this so the question is:

Are the Clippings good or bad for the grass and also do i have any options for the mower besides buying a new one?

I was thinking about making my own bag out of fabric or something...not sure if it will work.
