I have an 2011 e90, which was manufactured in 2010 and likely has the latest part. Trying to decide on whether to prophylactically replace it and this thread was helpful. Just keep the above in mind.
I think you may get lucky, but at this point it's getting old regardless of the pump reliability or not. The pump failed on my 330xi at around 85k miles in November of last year, and I had plenty of warning ahead of it failing. I recommend having a scanner that can tell you if the pump is spitting codes out. I had a speed deviation code for months in advance, and luckily it failed when it was cold out and there was no traffic around me (also was close to home).
