Got the dreaded 1/2 engine - engine malfunction reduced power 5 times on Friday. Every time a restarted the car it would go away for a while then come back. Took it to Irvine BMW today. They said that because I have a K&N air filter in the car, they will not do diagnostics. Must be caused by the filter. 30K miles, already had to HPFP's replaced! This SUCKS.
What really gets me is that they are now putting this on pretty much every car in the fleet right? 1,3,5,X,Z and soon we will be seeing turbos in M's too. Is there a BMW left worth buying?
Now I'm left with a malfunctioning car! Really pissed!
