Just when I got my '08 335i, I started having electrical problems and eventually replaced the battery as part of the whole resolution. Finally got my cable, found a good working source for INPA, started under Win7 but eventually switched to a dedicated laptop with WinXP and followed the outline of steps presented here to determine that my new OEM BMW battery matched the original charge rate of 90Ah so I only had to register the new battery via Tool32 (post #2).
My first "coding" experience if you will (though really I just ran a batch script).
Now to install GT1/DIS to get a diagnostic system in place...
