Here in the UK, customizing a new BMW other than adding OEM accessories or parts from AC Schnitzer or Alpina, is generally considered a big no, no and it can hammer the resale value. Color choice is also very important. White seems popular in the US but in the UK it can knock £1000-£2000 of the resale value in the first 3 years!
At the end of the dayI think we're all agreed that if you bought the car, you can customize it as you wish.........you've got to live with it just don't expect others to like it!
