The BMW dealer is correct in all likelihood, that something is bent/broken. It isn't possible to get -2.4 deg. camber in the front with stock suspension - not even close.
The M3 control arms/tension struts are welcome upgrades on any 3'er. I have them on my car and would gladly do the same upgrades again due to enhanced road feedback. Your front control arms will have to be replaced eventually anyway due to the bushings being fluid filled (depends on mileage; they'll start to leak) , why not do it all at once & pay for one alignment.
