I think I know what you mean. Mine has always done this. Had a complete car software update a few months ago and it went. It came back about 2 months later. I can reset adaptations myself and have even followed the gearbox learning procedure available from ZF with no positive results. It does appear to change with how the car is driven and seems worse from cold. I guess we all know that the car changes into second to pull away and what seems to happen is that sometimes on application of throttle it changes its mind and goes for first. Thats my best guess. Mine does not do it that often so I dont generally worry about it. I think it is unlikely to be a fault or sign of wear. I have read elsewhere of similar issues.
