HELP! - Unhappy about Insurance Body Work Repair

My 2008 e93 was rear ended december of last year.
The claim was $10,000 , they had to replace the rear bumper and the trunk.

When I got it back I realized that the rear trunk is not even with the rest of the car. That is when I run my hand from the rear trunk to another part of the car, i can feel a change in level. Furthermore when you look closer, the spacing around the new trunk is not even.

I talked to the bodyshop (a very reputable BMW certified body shop) and he said they can heat up the trunk and "bend" it to fit the rest of the car.

Is this a normal procedure? I talked to my BMW Service Adviser and she told me that as cars get driven the body shifts and they are never the same.

Should I be happy with this solution? Is it OK to have to bend an OEM trunk to perfectly fit my 2008 e93? My car has never had an accident before.

Thanks
