It's always good to think outside the box. I think this will hide your scratches and protect your screen from getting anymore. Buy an invisible shield for an ipad 1 (no camera holes) from Best Buy. Make sure to get the regular one not the HD or smudge proof. Use a paper cutter or some scissors to accurately cut it to the same dimensions as the i-Drive screen. Install it!
Customers always bring ipads scratched to hell and when we install the invisible shield most if not all of the scratches are no longer visible. If I had i-Drive I would have tried this a long time ago but if it doesn't work for you, you only lost $35 compared to buying a new screen. You can try to bring the lease back with the shield already installed
