I like the idea suggested to carry around post it notes and leave a note on someones window if they park next to you. It may break their habit of doing it if they learn how your feel when they do it.

Are you really that paranoid about dings? Its just an old Z4.... If I had a F-car i'd be more concerned. And that wasnt an all that open parking lot..
