Bet the mech didn't lube 'em. I used silicone grease....others use soap. Some use soapy water spray.

One thing: All 4 subframe/bushing bolts should be threaded in several turns to start.....then just snugged....then torqued.

If bushings were lubed, should go the last 0.5" no prob. Naturally the tool's preferred.
