I think the n52 is a way better motor and last longer.
my e36 had 275k on it and its still running( sold it to a friend)
my e30 had 150k
e90 has 37k....
w203 has 151k
E53 has 190l
e46 has 120k.

sister picked up a 2011 x5 3.5 N55 motor in april of 2010 and it has 20k
My cousin has 100k about and no big problems. I love how my buddies are like under 20k have transmission problems fuel pump problems/injectors and all sorts of bull shit problems with the n54 engine.
