Apex + the fact that they are 18"s will keep the weight down for sure, but excite you they will not...Like just about any 18" wheel. 18"s do not look good at all imho (On the e9x platforms, anyway), no matter the wheel, but are the most functional btw 18" vs 19".
Plus, you want an OEM look but arent excited by the OEM mesh type look? (which is what the Apex are) You need to figure that out first.
I would go with 19"s hands down. You will gain a small amount of weight, but looks will make up for it and then some. Your best bet is one of the many CSL replicas or Forgestar F14's. All can be had with tires for less than or right at $2500.
