MOST trouble shooting - Optic Fibre

Hi Guys,

Looking for some advice from the experts.

The problem all started from my attempt to retrofit a combox in replacement of my TCU.

Upon receiving the combox which was second hand, there were issues with coding it, and we just simply could not get it to work, so we naturally assumed it was a faulty unit. So I got a new combox sent out, and tried to code, and same issue - no joy.

We've identified a break in the MOST connection, which was extremely strange, as I only touched the rear most plug connected to the TCU.

I've pulled apart the rear seat to access the most junction block and have diagnosed and checked the optics there. In numbered order from the top of the most junction block harness is:

1= TCU
2= CDC
3= VM
4= CCC

The light signal comes from the optics from the bottom of the junction block however.

So it seems #3 and #4 have no light, which is the VM (video module) and CCC.

But how do I diagnose where the issue is exactly? I've tried closing the loop etc, but it doesn't seem to fix anything?

From the front FS (Direct Access) port, I can see a faint red light coming through, but no where as bright as it should be.

Would love some help/advice from any of the experts out there?

Cheers,
Ian.
