Don't get the regular Mobil 1 5W30 or the regular Castro 5W30 synthetic's at Costco/Target/Walmart. They're NOT the same as the oil sold at the Dealer.
Like other's have said, the dealer 5W30 is a Euro blend. The only other oil to get would be the Mobil 0W40 or 5W40 (not easy to find), which are Euro blends that meet BMW LL-01 spec's for extended intervals.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."
