About 10-15 years ago, back when Jeep Cherokees where the Hummers of their day, I drove to ski at Jay Peak. At the time I was driving a lowly Tercel, with winters. It snowed a foot that day, so the drive back was in ankle-deep snow on the roads. I was passed by a black Jeep Cherokee, I was going maybe 35-40 miles he was chugging at twice that. Literally two turns of the narrow two-lane road later I saw that same Jeep in a ditch, driver out cursing. We actually stopped to see if they neede help. The maroon went so fast he sligshotted out of a turn and into the countryside. We made it back to Montreal without any problems at 35-40 miles per hour in a car with motorcycle wheels.
