"Cool". I say that not because it's nice that you have a leak, but that it's good that you know what it is.
On my E39, there wasn't much to break about the clips. I'll be interested to see some pics of how different the E90 might be. Sill logos are a different story, those clips seem to break when you look at them funny, but you shouldn't need to remove that.
