I've gone the last few years, and it is awesome! If you're between 6th-13th st (that general area) a few clubs in the area within walking distance are Nikki Beach, Opium, Mansion to name a few. You could pretty much just walk up and down the streets too. There are a lot of parties that go on in hotel lobbies that you can just walk into as well.
