I too have been given a few 320d as loan car in the past. The 4 cylinders seem to have more of the tractor sound than the 6 cylinders. Despite the sound, I thought the engine was still fantastic and pull very hard at the optimal rev from 2000-4000rpm. It seem to have more punch compare to most petrol engine plus you can't argue with the fact that it does 4.5l/100ks combine.
I agree on the interior. It does feel slightly more plastic compare to older generation
