The reset will work, but only if you have replaced the wear sensor or you had less than half wear on the pads and the first set of contacts haven't yet been opened. There is a very clever system for approximating wear based on a two stage sacrificial contact system. If you attempt to reset and the wear sensor has been triggered, you get a dashboard of lights and the fronts will error out as well. It's really quite impressive. I know because I did this. I replaced pads without replacing the wear sensor and tried to reset the system. Once I replaced the wear sensor, all was right with the world again. Good system. A little confusing for a first timer, but very manageable. p
