Yea doesn't sound so surprising. When my dad had an accident last year we paid the excess to have the work done at my uncles bodyshop. This has always been the way.
Could they still F*ck me for using OEM parts if I do the above? I only took out the policy a couple of days ago so I am happy to cancel if it is going to be hassle.
