Great DIY, though personally, the fact that the outermost AE's are not aligned with the reflector would drive me insane.
Did you look in to a projector retrofit? Since you know you can take the headlights apart, and you seem fairly DIY-competent, it could be the perfect time for some high-quality HID retrofitting!
