Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the wheel face is machine finished with two-tone ferric grey inside the spokes. You might want to check out the description on some of the dealership web sites:

"Two-tone ferric gray polished surface with "BMW Performance" wordmark printed on each rim in black"
