i leave my car and clients cars running, spray plastic safe degreaser all over and hot water power wash at 1500-1600psi, about 24-36 inches away from surface, then let it air dry somewhat, then wipe down, then touch up anything missed, then apply protectant to all plastic/rubber. Works well no issues, done over 6000 vehicles in 10 years and never had any issue.
