Mine was a 1978 Trans Am 400 6.6L Hurst 4 speed.
I bought it when I was 15 for $1 and spent the next year fixing it. Fixed the blown lifters/pushrods. Replaced the intake (Edelbrock) and carb Holly 750 DP). Replaced the clutch. Did some body work. Installed a new radio. Installed a CB with the whip antenna on the trunk like Smokey and the Bandit.
I was bad ass in high school (1989-90) with my AC/DC cassette cranking Back in Black
Blew up the motor 4 months after getting my license redlining it at 160....opps.
