Upto you how you approach all this but I get the car professionally detailed along with paint correction, which obviously varies as to amounts of orange peel, surface scratches etc, etc.

Then I 'maintain' the look with snowfoaming, shampooing and waxing. I tend to wax every fortnight/three weeks. My detailer definitely found that swisswax went on really well and gave a very good finish on the Porsches I owned. We tried it on the S5, which has pretty hard paint too and found the swisswax to be agreeable again.

Everyone has their favourite waxes, and for me it is swisswax, I've even applied it when you could argue it was too cold ie. about a month ago, but it buffed off just as it always does.

Tip my detailer gave me for removing light surface scratches......use AG super resin polish, kind of proves it's mildy abrasive, so please be careful if you use that product.
