I purchased a BMW portable Garmin Nuvi for my wife's 325xiT a few weeks ago
and got around to tackling the install this weekend. All went pretty well (the
dash trim was tough to pry off!) til I got to the part where the instructions told
me to remove two (2) wires from the connector that plugs into the back of the
radio/CD head unit.
How in the heck does one get those connectors to release from the plug?
The harness that came with the installation kit 'borrows those two, the plugs
its own two back into the connector and on the other end connects to the two
(2) wires running up to the Nuvi mount on the dash.
I had to put everything back together, since she needed to use the car. Next
weekend, I'll likely go back in and finish up the wiring. All the other 'tough stuff' has been done.
