The subject is a great blend of old looking (I think that's a relatively new statue) surrounded by modern. Great light also.

Yes, the exif is accurate. I shot in 2.8 all day since most of the museum were prohibiting flash and mono/tripods. So I went with a 2.8 aperture and cranked up the ISO and took advantage of the natural lighting. I took the flash out only when I absolutely had to; when I could, of course.

I agree that the DOF is pretty deep compared to my other 2.8 lenses but adding a bit of sharpening helped to hide part of the background blur. In 1:1 you can clearly see that the front of the statue was in focus, but not the background. This is the first of 5 statues built for the Canadian War Museum. For the other ones, I didnt had as much natural light as this one. So they didnt turn out as nice.
