This car gets incredible mileage for its power. Last time I did a relatively long road trip, driving from DC to Knoxville and back, I saw pretty exceptional mpgs. Driving 70-80 mph, over the mountains and with 2 people & luggage on board, and in freezing temperatures (dense air kills fuel economy) I saw a calculated 41 mpg on the return trip. Which included about 10% stop n go city driving.
For reference, those are the kind of mpgs you'd see out of a dedicated econo-box like the Chevy Cruze eco.
So getting that in a car that can hold its own against mustangs and 350zs and previous generation M3s is exceptional.
