I have the same rattle... Definitely not WG rattle because I just had my turbos replaced. This is when I noticed this new rattle that happens only on medium acceleration. I here it come from the mid section to the rear of the exhaust. Could be flaps but I am unsure. It is so annoying! If it persists, I will look at swapping the whole exhaust out.
I went to BMW regarding it after they changed my turbos, and they refuse to say they can hear it! It is subtle but it is def there!
