I hope that you realize that by the time the first post was made nobody knew for a fact that the new iDrive could be retrofitted/swapped at all.
As stated too many times before, final cost greatly depends on
used prices, who and where you buy the parts from, and if you already have iDrive or not. Check eBay for example... there's a full set for $1500.
