Let me mention this--you can have a legitimate dispute with a credit card co., in which they remove a charge to your credit card. This is coded on your credit report as DRG (dispute resolved by grantor), and regarded as a neutral or negative item, depending on who's looking at it. Someday when you go to get a mortgage it may hold the whole process up and you have to have it removed or be declined the mortgage. Fair? Probably not. But it's the system.
