I took my 2010 335i into the dealership when I only had 1,500 miles on it and they told me it was the 3rd party window tinting causing the noise. They lubed the seals in the meantime and the noise disappeared for a couple of hours. Then, I took my car to another dealer for the first maintenance warranty and noted the noised. Not sure what they lubed the seals with but the noise has been gone a week so far. SO NICE! The Service Coordinator admitted it is a known issue and if the noise comes back, they will have the seals replaced. I asked them for the name of what they use but he did not know. Anyway, I;ll look into some Wurth and the other products mentioned. Wish I went to that dealer about 13k miles ago
