Of which about 75p is going to those w*****r at the Treasury. If you ask me the Govt are just asking for trouble by simply continuing to rake in the extra tax created by the surge in oil prices and making absolutely no comment. Correct me if I am wrong but it is the VAT element which is variable, the fuel duty is fixed.
We will, of course, pay double if oil remains at these ridiculously high levels, high oil prices will feed inflation which will in turn mean that interest rates will not fall or may even have to rise. Isn't life fair! So long as those greedy OPEC members make even more money
