I plan to do all of my maintenance when I am out of my original 4 yr warranty, but I like working on cars and can do oil changes and brake work in my garage and have a scissor lift. Tischer has the best price on oil change kits, $95 delivered to your door, get some DEF at walmart, pepboys, etc. Rotors and pads are a personal decision, I usually go with Turner Motor Sports for those, brembo and axxis pads on my past BMWs mainly. The only one I don't like to do is the fuel filter, so I will probably just take it to my indy BMW guy or the dealer depending on the quote.

But as others have said, if you like dropping your car off and getting a loaner and that dealer experience and don't have the time, go ahead and pay for the extended maintenance package (not to be confused with the extended warranty package). It will cost you more in the long run, but if that is what you want, go for it.
