I went to realoem.com and looked up the 335D fuel filter P/N and google searched. This is one of the places that came up as a source. It says the manufacturer is Mann.

I asked my Indy if he could do this and he says no problem. He recommends that the new filter be filled with diesel to minimize air in system. TDI has told us that a BT cable can be used to activate the lifting pump in the tank to purge air from the system and not beat up on the high pressure injection pump. I'm about 900 miles from FINALLY getting dealer to change my fuel filter. I went for the 3rd oil change in September but they said the miles were 3200 short for the fuel filter. They only did an oil change.

Idparts.com has it too for even less then rmeuropian

Interesting. My light came on for what I thought was my second service and they did an air filter (intake silencer) and fuel filter, but did not do my second oil change yet, and that's at about 25K.
