I would think that would be the case.
the oil cooler housing looks the same N54/N55.

The N55 is a different beast as I'm finding out with all
my trips to the dynoshop.

larger wheel vs smaller wheel.
For exhaust, most aftermarket exhaust are lighter than stock /
create great sound - and have minimal gains. - u should
feel good with ur decision on exhaust.
For street driving, I like light weight 19's - just a preference.
You can tool and hypothesis on size and weight all day long.
If u feel ur 19's are doing great, then ur good.
If u start to feel if'y, ur gonna start think'n of alternative
way to maximize your performance. Lot of track guys
run light 18's for their bimmers.
I personally want to try to maximize on performance
and find a nice flow to upgrade our N55.
Honestly I can say, stock 335i is very solid and beyond that
is just ice'n on the cake.
