I had a roof rack on my E39 and it was a pain to put it on take it off. It was a major pain to put the bikes on the rack also.
I am not crazy about seeing the receiver but for the convenience I will live with it.

Here, Here! My e91 has a receiver that came with the car...Im pretty stoked about it!...see my trailer idea somewhere here on the forum
