It's nappa on the high end stuff (S and RS). It is lovely when new but VERY soft and requires lots of looking after. Hook the softness up with the mega bucketed seats and you start to see some really worn bolsters on reasonably young cars which is a shame.

Well the BMW leather isn't as soft it's more hard wearing and I'd say therefore keeps the interiors looking newer for longer.
