When going up the canyons driving pretty hard ill reach 260-270 degrees, if I get a retrofitted oil cooler would these temps drop substantially?

Also was wondering if an intercooler upgrade would be better to get first then a retrofit oil cooler kit, in other words im just looking for what would reduce oil temps the most as i believe the high temps of this engine causes certain parts to fail sooner. (friends n55 temps never really go past 245 even with hard driving)
I have an N55 loaner right now, and yesterday it was at 250 all day. I wasn't even driving it that hard. It didn't have a oil cooler, FYI.
