OK, just bought a new set of the 18" Staggered MiRo 942's (BMW 313 Reps) & non-RFT tires to replace the factory 17's/RFT's on my 328ix E92
Time to also lower the car and get rid of the God awful 4x4 truck look. Not looking to go to extent of coilovers - just springs/shocks.
From all my reading, it appears that most go with either:
H&R Sport Springs/Bilstein Sports
H&R Sport#50494-2
Bilstein SportsFront Left: 35-142478 (F4-VE3-E247-H1)
Front Right: 35-142485 (F4-VE3-E248-H1)
Rear Left/Right: 24-120425 (F4-BE5-C042-H1)
Eibach Pro Kit Springs/Koni Sports or Bilstein
Eibach Pro??????
Koni SportFront Left: 8741-1535LSport (apparently not available)
Front Right: 8741-1535RSport (apparently not available)
Rear Left/Right: 8240-1236Sport
#1 Eibach does not list an ix specific spring, yet I know several members have used them. For those that are running Eibach's on E92 ix - are you using the 328i Coupe #2091.140, 328i Sedan #2085.140 or 328i Vert #2099.140 (which I found some vendors list as correct for 328ix Coupe also)?
#2 From member reviews, I gather the H&R springs offer bigger drop-but the ride is harsher, while Eibach's are less drop with comfortable ride. Is this the consensus?
I never intend to track the car - just normal every day driving. Roads here in Western PA are definitely not the best, but the non-RFT tires should soak up some of the shock over the RFT's.
Would you recommend H&R/Bilstein, Eibach/Bilstein for my application & why (if you have direct experience)...
