The car DOES have the power kit software as when its plugged in, it says power conversion kit. The problem is, this power kit software done at port is also what wiped out the BMW apps software (so idrive software).
So right now, you can have 1 but not the other. They are working on a new software fix to allow both but won't be due out until sometime in Nov when we all have to bring the car back in for reprogramming.

haha and this is why i didnt get the navi/idrive2 system..
its a sports car people not a laptop! check twitter after motoring, not while :P
