Regarding camera alerts I have discovered something interesting. Well to me anyway.
I have the TomTom app on my iPhone. I've had it since I had my Saab but never use it now due to having navigation on the E91. If I just fire up the app, put it in the adapter in the arm rest and select External Devices/Richard's iPhone I get very accurate audible camera and speed warnings
without having to enter a route ie app running but not navigating. It's a bit of a compromise with no radio/CD/USB audio but quite often I do have music on my phone and stream via Bluetooth. I'm sure I'd still get the warnings if I was steaming audio. This would have been very handy over the weekend on a run to and from Edinburgh. More than one close shave
And btw I've also tried the Road Angel app (free trial) and that just doesn't work at all. I only get my current speed and not a squeak about anything else.
