So ... has anybody done a "catch can" modification to the 335d?
This seems to be common on many direct injection engines (and diesels like VW TDI's) with EGR to help reduce intake carbon buildup.
The BMW 335i's have multiple specific solutions for this, but I haven't seen any for the 335d.
Today, I disconnected and looked at the PCV "Vent Pipe" (No. 11
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...49&hg=11&fg=15) and this revealed an obvious source of oil contamination being sucked into the intake.
With all the recent discussion about intake clogging I'm wondering why having a "catch can" modification for the 335d hasn't received more attention?
