As all of you probably know and keep hearing, I (well, Fred from ER) undertook one of the most difficult projects ever on e90post in custom fabricating a bolt-on, one of a kind, FIRST EVER, e90/e92 roll bar. He did me a huge favor in taking on this project because I have bought from him numerous times and we have formed an awesome friendship. I can't speak highly enough about their project and work ethic. Well, on to the pictures!!!

It all started with a couple teasers sent via Fred's cell phone two weeks back...





Then this past Friday I visited ER to help then finalize the whole project. We were there from 12pm to 1am getting everything finished. Fred and Rigo are dedicated workers and didn't have to work a 13 hour day, but are good friends and wanted to see it finished!!! Go boys!!!

^Installing the seats were a pain in the ass. No offense to EAS, but all of their anchors for a 6pt harness are for regular racing seats, not XL versions. They should probably make a set for the taller driver...
Also note that I will have the roll bar pulled next week before the LTBMW meet to have powdercoated matte black. Fred also has a couple more welds to make but he wanted me to test the rigidity and make sure everything was perfect, WHICH IT IS!!!

So the labor lasted 13 straight hours and the project was finally complete. However, I was not finished. I happen to call Ivan from LTBMW to see if they had any CF LCI front lips and low and behold, BINGO!!!

I wanted a fully functioning front lip. I wanted the splitter to cover the whole front quarter of the car and it did. I also wanted APR braces to make sure that it would not rip off at speeds in excess of 140mph.

Big ups to LTBMW for making the most amazing front end of an e90 LCI on this planet (in my opinion ). I haven't really done a lot of work with Long and Ivan except talk to them over meets and what not. Really great guys and they really have the cosmetic touch, as you can see with numerous rides around the forums!

I am not a good photography, but I managed to catch some pretty dope night shots and some ok day shots in the driveway.

The whole setup isn't complete for I still need to powdercoat the roll bar, mount the side harnesses, and...Varis Wing from Andrew@IND. But take a look.
