hey everyone,
i got my 2007 320i a couple months ago and i ordered it with the bluetooth phone package and they gave me a cradle and a nokia 6230i..the dealer said that this was a special phone that allows u to see the names in the phone book on the stereo screen and use the voice entry button on the wheel and show the caller name when u recieve a call..but i read on the posts here and the bmw usa site that u can use differnt phone..the phone i use these days is an imate jam (xda mini)pda phone,i have that paired but no names show up on the screen and i cant access the phone book from the stereo..i tried using 2 other phones, nokia 6670 and a razr (didnt work at all cuz i had difficulties pairing it) and still same thing..no incoming caller name..just the number..no names on the screen and no phonebook..is it really true that i can ONLY use the phone that came with the car or is there some way to get passed this?
