Well yes that's a given. No one in their right mind would drive without any fluid in their tranny. Although in this thread we are talking about swapping out the tranny filter, draining the old, dirty fluid, and then adding fresh fluid. At around 80k miles it is a good idea to have this done.

Question: Is there any way possible that you could check if there is transmission fluid in your tranny? Or if it's low in other cases? My previous car was running with no transmission fluid when I bought it so that's why I'm asking, and sorry I didn't realize the topic we are discussing.
