Question N52 Charcoal Delete - Poorer MPG???

I recently performed the charcoal delete on my intake for my 2006 330i and noticed that I am getting about 2 mpg less overall for 4 or 5 fill ups now. Not sure why this is happening because I would think I would be getting better mpg since the engine can breathe a bit better now and not have to work so hard to get air. I have also decided to keep the stock air filter rather than try k&n but that should not make a difference. Also, I have the BMW PE.

Does anyone have any clues? Dirty MAF sensor? Need to reset adaptations? I feel that the car is driving better than ever. Like it revs freely now. That being said I don't feel like I'm driving the car any harder than before.
